“Lee” Lines. Wave After Wave
In contours of the water-chiseled stones and undulating curves of the female body associatively repeating each other, the visual embodiment of "lee" principle from the ancient Chinese Taoist philosophy is discerned.
"Beauty of moving water, wavy stones on riverbanks,
movements of the wind and clouds, outlines of mountains, shapes of trees and flowers …
All these dancing weavings of Nature are subject to certain asymmetrical and non-computable order.
The Chinese call this order “lee”. Initially “lee” hieroglyph would signify streaks in nephrite and fibers in wood.
Usually “lee” implies "beginning" or "principle" of things.
Divine order – “lee” - is the order which never stops surprising and is possible as order only because it intertwines with accidental".
